1) How do you usually go about a counselling?
Prior to the first meeting with the candidate I get an overview of what the candidate has produced regarding CV and job-application material. At the first meeting I balance expectations with the candidate regarding thoughts and wishes to the counselling.
2) What personal skills do you use in the counselling you give?
I listen and ask the candidate about their wishes and needs. I look into and analyze the candidate's opportunities for possible new jobs and I am precise regarding the material that is compiled. I try to be very direct in my form of counselling.
3) What do you get out of working at AS3 Outplacement as a counsellor?
It gives me great pleasure to help people through the changes they meet. A triumphant sensation when a a candidate gets their dream job and definitely a feeling that I make a difference.
4) What is your background - and what makes you competent at giving advice?
I've been a counsellor for 10 years. I have international experience within the personnel area including 20 years as a leader in positions such as Director for Personnel, Technical Vice-Director and Captain on an international passenger ship. In addition I have an Executive MBA.
