After being dismissed Per Stefansen found his way to his dream job

After 6 consultancy meetings Per felt that being 57 years old was a problem. The consultant's advice was that Per should deliver his application personally so that potential employers could see, just how fit he was. Once, Per drove more than 100 km to deliver his application. Per attended his first interview after changing his strategy. Later, having got his dream job, Per was contacted by a company that he had delivered his CV to personally. Per sent 16 job-specific applications, attended two job interviews, and finally found his dream job.

1) What were your expectations towards the consultancy program before you started?
I hoped to be able to get help in writing a really good application and CV.

2) What did you think about the advice from AS3 Outplacement after starting the program?
It was a pleasant surprise to be met by such a competent consultant straight from the start.

3)  What was the attitude of the consultant like?
In a way it was reassuring to meet a mature consultant. Not that it was a deciding factor, but it meant a lot to me that the consultant had many years of work experience from different areas having personally tried many things. The consultant's direct approach regarding what I should do and what I should absolutely not do, was also important.

4) Has the consultant helped you improve and develop regarding job hunting?
The advice has definitely helped me develop. It has been an invaluable help in finding a job. It was 20 years ago that I last applied for a job and therefore I wasn't up to speed regarding looking for a job in 2011. I was "pushed" into doing things in the job hunting process that I otherwise wouldn't have done, but that I could certainly see would help in getting the right job. The result didn't fail to come. I got my dream job.
